Privacy Policy

Skillex allows users to search for CS2 players by FACEIT nickname or FACEIT profile URL and generate scouting-oriented player reports.

Instead of acting as a full statistics dashboard, Skillex focuses on scouting interpretation, such as: Scout Verdict, Scout Score, Carry Potential, Consistency Score, Recent Trend, and Candidate comparison signals.

These outputs are internal interpretations based on selected player data and should not be treated as official rankings, professional evaluations, or guaranteed performance predictions.

Information you provide directly

• FACEIT nickname or profile URL
• Player search query
• Feedback or contact messages, if you contact us directly

Player-related data from FACEIT

When a player is searched or refreshed, Skillex may fetch selected data from the FACEIT Data API, such as:

• FACEIT player ID, nickname, avatar URL
• Country or region information, if available
• CS2 skill level and FACEIT Elo
• Match history and match statistics
• Recent performance signals and other metadata

Cached technical data

To avoid calling the FACEIT Data API on every request, Skillex may cache selected responses, including normalized player data, calculated scouting metrics, refresh timestamps, raw API responses, and technical logs.

We process this information to search for FACEIT players, generate scouting reports, calculate scouting signals and verdicts, display saved candidate profiles, compare candidate potential, improve reliability and performance, and respond to feedback or support requests.

Where applicable, we may rely on the following bases:

• Legitimate interest — to provide, improve, secure, and maintain Skillex.
• Consent — where we ask for consent for optional analytics or similar technologies.
• Contract — if you contact us regarding collaboration or business matters.
• Legal obligation — where required by law.

Skillex uses FACEIT-related data to provide scouting reports. FACEIT remains a third-party service with its own terms and privacy practices. Skillex does not control FACEIT, the FACEIT Data API, or the information FACEIT makes available.

If you want to manage or remove information from FACEIT itself, use the tools and settings provided by FACEIT directly.

Skillex may store player-related data in a database to make reports faster and avoid repeated API calls. Cached data may include player profile information, recent match data, calculated scouting metrics, raw API responses, and refresh timestamps.

Because Skillex is a proof of concept, cached data may be incomplete, delayed, outdated, or inaccurate. Scouting results should be treated as informational and experimental.

We keep cached player data only for as long as reasonably needed for the Skillex service, debugging, performance, and product development. If you want to request removal of cached player-related data, contact us at skillex.support@gmail.com. Please note that removing data from Skillex does not remove data from FACEIT or other third-party sources.

Skillex uses cookies required for authentication and session management, provided by Clerk. These cookies are necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled without breaking the login experience.

When you first visit Skillex, you will be shown a cookie notice. You may accept or decline. Declining does not affect your ability to browse Skillex, but authentication features require Clerk session cookies to work.

Skillex does not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If analytics are added in the future, appropriate notice will be provided.

If you contact us by email, we may process your email address, name or handle, and message content — only to respond to your request and improve Skillex.

Skillex does not sell personal data. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the application (hosting, database, error monitoring, analytics if used). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and security of Skillex.

Depending on the hosting and service providers used, data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data processed by Skillex. However, no online service can guarantee complete security. Skillex is currently a proof of concept — users should avoid submitting sensitive personal information.

Skillex is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to Skillex, contact us so we can review and delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your shortlist and your account.

Please note that Skillex may not be able to remove data controlled by FACEIT or other third-party platforms.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Skillex evolves. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
