Terms of Use

Skillex is an experimental scouting decision tool for CS2 players. It allows users to search for players by FACEIT nickname or profile URL and view scouting-oriented reports based on selected player data and calculated signals, including Scout Verdict, Scout Score, Carry Potential, Consistency Score, Recent Trend, and Candidate comparison signals.

These outputs are internal interpretations generated by Skillex. They are not official rankings, professional scouting decisions, or guaranteed predictions of player performance.

Skillex is currently an MVP / proof of concept. This means that:

• features may change or be removed
• reports may be incomplete, delayed, cached, or inaccurate
• scouting metrics may be adjusted over time
• the service may be unavailable or unstable
• access may be limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time

You understand and agree that Skillex should be used for informational and experimental purposes only.

Skillex may use data provided by or derived from the FACEIT Data API. FACEIT remains a third-party service with its own terms, policies, availability, and data rules. Skillex does not control FACEIT or the FACEIT Data API.

Skillex may cache selected FACEIT data to improve performance and generate scouting reports, including player profile information, match history, match statistics, calculated metrics, raw API responses, and refresh timestamps.

Skillex does not guarantee that FACEIT data will always be available, complete, accurate, or up to date. If you want to manage or remove information from FACEIT itself, use the tools provided by FACEIT directly.

Skillex is an independent project not affiliated with FACEIT, ESL FACEIT Group, or any related entity. Any references to FACEIT, CS2, player nicknames, match statistics, or related data are used only to describe the source or context of the scouting signals.

All third-party names, trademarks, logos, and brands belong to their respective owners.

By using Skillex, you represent that you are legally permitted to use the service and that your use does not violate applicable laws. Skillex is not intended for children under the age of 13.

You agree not to misuse Skillex. You must not:

• use Skillex for unlawful purposes
• attempt to overload, disrupt, damage, or compromise the service
• use bots, scraping tools, or automated scripts without permission
• attempt to bypass rate limits or technical restrictions
• access data or areas you are not authorized to access
• use Skillex to harass, defame, threaten, or target players or other people
• misrepresent Skillex reports as official FACEIT rankings or professional evaluations
• copy, redistribute, or create derivative works based on Skillex without permission
• use Skillex in a way that violates FACEIT's terms or applicable laws

Skillex reports are based on selected signals and internal formulas. Scout Verdict, Scout Score, Carry Potential, Consistency Score, Recent Trend, and similar outputs are generated for scouting interpretation only.

Skillex does not guarantee that a player will perform at a certain level, that a verdict is correct, or that a candidate is suitable for a team. You are responsible for how you interpret and use Skillex outputs.

Reports may contain incomplete, delayed, outdated, or incorrect data due to reliance on third-party sources, caching, and internal calculations. Skillex may display warnings when data is insufficient, but does not guarantee every limitation will always be detected or shown.

You should not treat Skillex as a complete or authoritative source of player information.

You are responsible for the information you submit. You agree not to submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content, sensitive personal information, or malicious input intended to attack or exploit the service.

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or feature suggestions, you agree that we may use them to improve Skillex without compensation or obligation to you. Do not send confidential or proprietary information unless we have agreed to receive it in writing.

Skillex, including its interface, design, code, branding, scoring logic, and scouting interpretation logic, is owned by Skillex or its respective rights holders. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on Skillex unless permitted by law or expressly authorized by us.

Third-party data, trademarks, and game-related assets remain the property of their respective owners.

Your use of Skillex is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data Skillex may process, including FACEIT nicknames, player-related data, cached responses, and technical data.

Skillex may contain links to third-party websites or services, including FACEIT. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

We may update, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue Skillex at any time. We do not guarantee that Skillex will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Skillex is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, and merchantability. You use Skillex at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skillex and its owners, contributors, and operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including those related to use or inability to use the service, inaccurate reports, outdated data, decisions made based on Skillex outputs, or service interruptions.

Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use Skillex in the last 12 months or USD $100.

You agree to defend and hold harmless Skillex and its owners, contributors, and operators from any claims arising from your use or misuse of Skillex, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of player data or scouting reports.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Skillex at any time if you violate these Terms, your use creates risk for Skillex or others, or we detect abuse, scraping, or suspicious activity. We may do this with or without notice.

Governing jurisdiction to be specified before public launch. These Terms are intended to be governed by applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Skillex operates.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Skillex after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
